Free Vintage Chalkboard Flyer PSD Template
Download this Free Vintage Chalkboard Flyer PSD Template by Webdesignblog and give your next event promo an authentic, old-school chalkboard vibe in minutes.
Designed with a classic blackboard texture, distressed typography, and ornamental flourishes, this vintage flyer template is a great fit for nightlife promotions, bar specials, live music nights, retro parties, themed events, and even café or restaurant announcements. The layout is clean and balanced, with a bold headline area, decorative wreath elements, and a traditional border frame that instantly sells the “handcrafted” chalkboard aesthetic.
Two fonts are used to achieve the vintage look. The first is Bazar, a popular free display font that works best in uppercase—note that lowercase characters may not render correctly on some systems and can fall back to a default font. The second font is Ostrich Sans, another excellent free typeface often used in retro and vintage design work thanks to its tall, elegant letterforms. Together, they help you create strong hierarchy for your event title, date, venue, and call-to-action without losing that nostalgic feel.
A decorative frame has been added around the flyer, which is a common detail in vintage poster and print design—ornamentation and borders were historically used to add richness, structure, and visual emphasis. When you open the PSD file, you’ll notice that all layers are initially set to invisible. Simply enable layer visibility to reveal the full design. This choice helps reduce the download size by roughly 30%, making it quicker to grab and easier to store in your template library.
To customize, replace the text with your own event details, adjust colors if needed, and add your logo or social links. This PSD flyer template is layered for straightforward editing in Photoshop, making it ideal for designers working fast turnaround jobs as well as DIY users who want a polished, professional result.
